Satavahana University

Located in picturesque region of Manair Dam of Karimnagar District in Andhra Pradesh, Satavahana University offers several courses in diverse disciplines. Satavahana University started as a degree college and it has now grown into a university. Campus of the Satavahana university is located in an area of approximate 42 acres.

 

Satavahana University lays emphasis on high quality value-based education with need-oriented courses and training. It conducts Masters in Economics, Urdu, Sociology, Commerce, Computer Science and Chemistry. Apart from these courses, professional education is imparted in Business Administration and Computer Application. The University has introduced creativity in teaching, learning and research to build a knowledge base and promote quality initiative which can empower human beings and develop human resources to meet the societal needs. The university has also been instrumental in providing high class education in the district.

 

Satavahana University has established the necessary infrastructure required for imparting education. The central library provides students and faculty with books, journals, magazines etc. Extra curricular activities like indoor and outdoor games and various cultural activities are promoted by the university.   

 

Satavahana University was upgraded from a post-graduation college to a university in August 2008. The University first started as a post-graduation college in the year 1980 with two courses MA Economics and MCom. Gradually it grew and earned the status of a university.
