Jai Narain Vyas University

Incepted in 1962, Jai Narain Vyas University Jodhpur is a residential university in the state of Rajasthan. It caters to the needs of students of western Rajasthan. Jai Narain Vyas University has been accredited with 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC. JNVU Jodhpur is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and stands with responsibility to establish high standards of teaching and research. This is the western most university of India and imparts education in border areas neighboring Pakistan.

 

JNVU Jodhpur conducts Certificate, Diploma, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, Master of Philosophy, PhD and Post Graduate Diploma Courses. It has several recognized National Institutes located in Jodhpur for pursuing research leading to PhD degree. The university lays stress on education in Art, Culture, History and Heritage. House Coaching Centre for weaker section of students is also available. 

The faculties have been developed through continuous efforts with help of different types of academic and R &D Programs to enable them to study and utilize natural and human resources. SC, ST, minorities and female students are supported in particular. The university has been making efforts to provide access to its resources, manpower and infrastructure to all sections of society.

Library of the university has enough stock of books to take care of the requirements of the staff and students. The laboratories and workshops are equipped with all necessary equipments. The students can have their lunch and snacks at the canteen. The university has proper infrastructure to support the students in their pursuit of studies.

Established in 1962 as University of Jodhpur, Jai Narain Vyas University came into existence with its four affiliated government colleges of Jodhpur, MBM Engineering College, Jaswant College, S.M.K. College and K.N. College for Women.
