Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, popularly referred to as ICFAI, is a renowned educational institution, having its branch in several parts of the country. One of its branches, located in Jharkhand, propagates knowledge modern and interactive educational programmes and research. Through its branches, the university aims to nurture the talent of young aspirants and produce skilled professionals, with a high level of aptitude and obligation to the professional behavior. ICFAI Jharkhand has the approval of university grant commission (UGC), while the Distance Education Programme offered by the university is permitted by Distance Education Council (DEC), IGNOU, New Delhi.
Educational Streams
ICFAI Jharkhand imparts education in career oriented and traditional academic courses. The courses of the university are provided through campus programs and distance education mode. ICFAI's campus program offers management courses - MBA and BBA - at PG and UG levels, respectively. An array of courses, both degree and diploma, are conducted at post graduate level, through the flexible education mode of ICFAI Jharkhand. Degree level programs include MBA and MCA. Post graduate diploma includes a wide range of courses in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Insurance Law, General Management, Marketing Management, HR Management, Operations Management.
Facilities
To ensure academic excellence, ICFAI Jharkhand provides excellent facilities to its students. The campus boasts of having a computer centre, which is equipped with multiple operating systems, internet connection and the latest hardware and software. Students can access the collection of wide range of books, journals, newspapers and magazines available in the vast library. Workshops, seminars and projects are also conducted by the university, under the guidance of experts. The facility of soft skill labs is an added advantage of the university campus. Extra curricular activities are also conducted in the campus. Efforts are made to prepare students to face the challenges of corporate world.
History
Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Jharkhand, began under the stipulation of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act, 2006, which was notified on June 17, 2008, by the Government of Jharkhand. The University is supported by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a non-profit educational society that was established in 1984.
