Bharati Vidyapeeth University, headquartered at Pune in Maharashtra, has its campuses in Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Karad and Sangli. Apart from these, there are more than 20 constituent units of the University imparting education in various fields. The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Bharati Vidyapeeth has been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Bharati Vidyapeeth University has established 26 constituent colleges that impart quality education in varied disciplines at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The University has covered almost all the fields of professional and technical education and offers undergraduate courses such as BA, B.Com, LLB(5 Years), BBA, BCA, B.H.M.C.T, B.Sc.(H&HA), MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSc- Nursing, Bio-technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, B.Optometry, B.Pharma, B.Tech, B.Arch, BASLP, Bsc Environment Post-Graduate Courses: MPharm in Quality Assurance Techniques, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.
It is mainly a research based university, offering substantial research facilities. The University has established itself as a reputed research university due to its scale and interdisciplinary character of research activities. It houses a comprehensive range of research-based study programs recognized internationally that attract undergraduate (Bachelor degrees), postgraduate (Master degrees) and research (M.Phil., Ph.D.) students from all over the world.
Facilities
Bharati Vidyapeeth University has two campuses at Pune in Dhankawadi and Erandwane. Both the campuses are well-equipped with state-of-the-art modern amenities. There are separate hostels for boys and girls offering adequate space and a conducive environment to study. Other facilities include play fields, gardens, canteen, banking and postal services, dispensary, well furnished class rooms, seminar hall, administrative units, faculty cubicles etc. The University ensures that quality education is imparted to its students with the use of modern techniques like latest teaching / learning aids and equipments for imparting ideas. FAX machine, OHPs, Audio Visual equipments, slide projectors, computer hardware and software etc are some of the latest equipments used here. It also houses a high-tech well planned computer laboratory.
History
Established in April 1996, Bharati Vidyapeeth University was set up by the Government of India under a section of the UGC Act, 1996. The University was formed from a cluster of institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of the University. Bharati Vidyapeeth was granted the status of a University to honor the Organization’s high academic excellence, infrastructural facilities and potential for further growth.
