Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, which was established in 1961, is situated in Bellary, Karnataka. Formerly known as Bellary Medical College, the institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and it is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. The medical institute is also attached to a hospital, which has the capacity of 680 beds with many modern medical facilities. Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences conducts various courses in the field of medical sciences, at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute enrolls as many as 100 students every year for the course of MBBS. It offers several facilities to its students for their all round development.
