Candidates who have passed 10+2/HSC examination of the State Board of High Secondary Education of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination approved by Anna University can apply for the BE courses. However, they should have obtained 50% (OC), 45% (BC), 40% (MBC), and Pass (SC/ST) in aggregate. Those who have passed the diploma examination in appropriate branches of engineering from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination as approved by Anna University of Technology with aggregate 55% (OC), 50% (BC), 45% (MBC), and Pass (SC/ST) in Pre-final/fifth semester & Final Semester/sixth put together can apply through the lateral entry scheme.
