University Institute of Technology RGPV (UIT-RGPV), located at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, came into existence in 1986. It was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh. The college was formerly known as Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. In July 2002, the institution became a constituent college of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (the Technological University of the State of Madhya Pradesh). University Institute of Technology RGPV imparts technical education at under graduate as well as post graduate levels. The institute boasts of providing latest technical education to the aspirants within the campus.

The students must have passed the higher secondary examination or 10+2 standard exam from a recognized board in science stream with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as core subjects.
Post Graduate:
The applicant should possess a technical degree (BE/B. Tech) in the relevant stream of engineering, with minimum 55% of marks.

The candidates are admitted on the grounds of a merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in a state-level Professional Examination Test – PET, conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) Bhopal. OR AIEEE conducted by CBSE at the national level.

Post Graduate:
Admissions are done on the basis of merit list prepared according to the candidates GATE percentile, followed by their performance in the interview.
