Established in 1983, Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune, is one of the premier educational institutions of India. The college offers courses in the field of arts, commerce and computer science. Though it has been in existence only for about 25 years, but it has built up a very good and positive reputation for itself by achieving some great heights in this period. Symbiosis International Cultural and Education Center was founded by Dr. B.S.Mazumdar in the year 1971, who is serving as the current Principal and Principal Director of the Symbiosis Society. The college is affiliated to University of Pune.
Over a period of 35 years, Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce Pune has set up 32 institutions providing education in a wide range of subjects. All the various institutes are situated in 8 campuses of Pune. It is registered under the Society's Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. The college always strives to promote good understanding among the students of both India and abroad, by providing a common platform for the students to share.

A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to the Degree courses.

A student must have completed his Bachelor's Degree successfully to be eligible for admission to the Master's degree.
