Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering is a constituent college of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. Sri Venkateswara University was established in the year 1954, and it has been providing education in various fields of academics.
Initially, the University was started with seven departments, namely, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Philosophy. Presently, the SV University, Tirupati has 58 departments, with faculty strength of over 400.
The SVU College of Engineering was established in the year 1959. Presently, the College offers 4-year B.Tech. Degree courses in six disciplines, and 2-year postgraduate courses in ten different fields. The SVU College of Engineering has achieved the autonomous status in 2005-06.

Undergraduate:
Candidates should have cleared the intermediate Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any equivalent examination recognized by Sri Venkteshwara University.
Post Graduate:
Aspirants should have gone through BE/B Tech in any branch of Engineering or equivalent qualifications with the valid GATE score. Some seats are available for the sponsored candidates.
Doctorate:
Candidates should have cleared their Master?s degree in the relevant subjects.
