Located in Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, Sri Venkateswara College offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in arts, science and commerce streams. The college also offers some add-on and certificate courses in Sanskrit, German, Nanotechnology and Bioinformatics. Established in 1961, the college was bestowed with ‘Potential for Excellence’ award in 2004 and was declared one of the pilot centre’s for setting up Techno Business skill Development (TSD) in the country in 2005, jointly by the NASSCOM and UGC. Set up by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Society, Sri Venkateswara College is spread over a sprawling campus of 15 acres of land and offers excellent infrastructural facilities.
Sri Venkateswara College made a modest beginning in the school building of Andhra Education Society. The college was shifted to its premises in 1969. Set up with a primary objective of imparting education to students hailing from South India, the college started with B.A in Tamil and Telugu courses. The foundation stone of Shri Venkateshwara College was laid by the educationist and former president of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on 20th August 1961

Admissions to the undergraduate courses are based on the merit secured in the qualifying exam and the availability of seats. Admissions to the above mentioned courses are done strictly as per the University guidelines and norms

Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate
courses must take the centralized slip issued by Delhi University and get registered in the respective departments.
Master of Science (M.Sc)
50% of the seats in M.Sc are filled on the basis of marks secured in B.Sc (Hons) exam (no entrance test) whereas the candidates having B.Sc (p) degree are required to appear in the entrance exam.
Master of Arts (M.A) in History
Admission to this course is done on the basis of merit secured in entrance exam conducted by the University.
Master of English
Candidates who have secured 60% or more marks in BA (Hons) English course are exempted from taking the entrance test, rest all candidates are required to take the entrance test, conducted by the University.
