General Requirement: In order to get admission in the B.Com.(Hons.) and B.A.(Hons.) Economics, one needs to have the required cut-off mark that is declared every year, by the college. The SC/ST candidates need not apply to the college directly. Instead, they can directly apply to the Central Admission Committee of the University.
Candidate should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (12 years) of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, with minimum 45% marks in aggregate. In this case, the candidate should have passed in five subjects, including one language and four elective subjects. The candidate is also eligible in case he/she has passed an examination recognized equivalent to that.
OR
The candidate should have passed pre-University Examination (Two years after ten years of schooling) of an Indian University, recognized by the University of Delhi).
OR
The candidate is also eligible, in case he/she has passed intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board or an Examination recognized as equivalent to that. In this case, the candidate needs to have passed in five written subjects.
The candidate should be 17 years old before 1st of October of the year, in which he/she seeks admission to the first year of the degree program.
Post Graduate Diploma:
To be eligible for the course, the candidate should have done 10+2+3 of a recognized University, with minimum 50% marks aggregate in the degree examination. Candidates who are appearing for their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. There is 5 % relaxation in total aggregate marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Post Graduate:
The candidates should be graduates in the relevant field from a recognized University, to get admission in the program.
Undergraduate:
Admission to the undergraduate courses is strictly based on the merit basis – marks obtained by the candidates in 10+2 examination. No admission will be made to the second and third year of B.Com.(Hons) and B.A.(Hons) Economics. Candidates who wish to apply for both the courses B.Com.(Hons.) and B.A.(Hons.) Economics on 'Sports' basis or on 'Merit' basis must submit separate application forms for each course. Additional application forms are available from the College office on payment.
All application must mention clearly "Eligibility Category"; else the applications are liable to be rejected. No re-admission is allowed in any of the three years of B.Com.(Hons.)/B.A.(Hons.) Economics courses if a student fails. This is applicable to all categories of admissions including those on sports basis. No migration to this college is permitted in any of the three years of B.Com. (Hons.)/B.A.(Hons.) Economics. In case a student gets his/her admission cancelled, he/she will not be re-admitted.
Post Graduate:
Candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination (degree exam, in this case) and their performance in the entrance test, conducted by the respective Departments of University of Delhi.
Post Graduate Diploma:
Candidates are selected on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the entrance test, which is conducted by the university, followed by their performance in group discussion and personal interview (GDPI).
