Shimla College of Education,located in the capital city of Himachal Pradesh - Shimla, conducts one year of Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course in various disciplines of science (medical and non-medical) and arts stream, through regular as well as through distance learning mode. The autonomous co-educational institution, which started its first academic session in 2007-2008, is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. The B. Ed College has also gained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Shimla College of Education, in the pursuit to attain its aim of producing competent teachers, provides state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to the aspirants.
