Located in Cochin (Kochi), School of Legal Studies is a constituent of Cochin University of Science and Technology. It came into existence in 1962 as a department of Kerala University, later it joined hands with University of Cochin. The institution aims to impart in-depth knowledge through moot-court room sessions, guest lectures and debate and discussions on various issues. School of Legal Studies, approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, offers legal education at under graduate as well as at post graduate levels. Over the years, the law college has produced numerous well-qualified and trained law professionals. The institution is considered as one of the prominent places to study law in the state.

Eligibility:
Post Graduate:
The candidates, who possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university, are eligible.
Doctorate:
The applicants should have secured at least 55% aggregate marks in masters degree in law of any recognized university.
Integrated:
The candidates, who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board with minimum 60% aggregate marks, can apply. Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ST candidates.
Admission Procedure:
Post Graduate:
Selection is based on the applicant rank in Common Admission Test conducted by the University.
Doctorate:
Admissions are made as per the applicant score in Departmental Admission Test (DAT), conducted by the university. The candidates with valid national/state research fellowship scores are exempted from the test.
Integrated:
The candidates are selected as per their performance in Common Admission Test conducted by CUSAT, followed by group discussion and interview.
