Sarupathar College, situated in Golaghat district of Assam, is an aided co-educational institute. The college was established in 1970 to impart value based higher education for the rural backward students living in and around Golaghat. Later in 1981, the college was brought under the deficit system of Grant-in-Aid by the Government of Assam. Sarupathar College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and accredited with a “B” grade certificate by NAAC. The college conducts various undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce faculties. Besides, the college runs higher secondary courses in these subjects, along with three-month certificate programs in Computer Applications. The college also serves as a study centre for Krishna Kanta Hendique State Open University (KKSHOU).
