Samrat Ashok Technological Institute came into existence in 1960, by Maharaja Jiwajirao Education Society, under the open door policy of the Government of India. The institute is located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal. Samrat Ashok Technological Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. Undergraduate:
Candidates, who have passed the higher secondary or 10+2 examination of the M.P. Board of Higher Secondary Education in science stream, are eligible to apply for the UG courses.
Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech / M Sc
Candidates must have possessed Bachelor's degree in relevant stream from any recognized University.
MCA/ MBA:
For MCA, the candidates need to have passed in graduation with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th standard. For MBA, only graduation is required.

The admission criteria are based on the candidates' past academic performances and the marks obtained by him/her in GATE entrance test.
MBA/ MCA
The candidates are selected for MBA through MET entrance test. For MCA, Pre MCA entrance test is conducted by VYAPAM, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
