Located in Dimapur of Nagaland, Salt Christian College of Teacher Education is one of the premiere and most prominent institutes of not just Nagaland, but also of the entire north eastern region of India. Established in 1995, the college was set up with an objective of achieving new milestones in the field of education. Affiliated to Nagaland University, the college is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi and State Board of Teachers Education, Kohima. Apart from the B.Ed course, Salt Christian College of Teacher Education had launched primary teachers training course in 2006. The college offers modern facilities in its campus.

Candidates should have passed graduation with atleast 45% (Local candidates) and 50% marks (Non local Candidates) from Nagaland University or any other Institute recognized as equivalent to Nagaland University. Candidates should have studied two school subjects at graduation level. In case of candidates graduating from University other than Nagaland University, they should procure eligibility certificate at the time of admission
