S Nijalingappa Institute of Dental Science & Research is located in Gulbarga district of Karnataka. The institute was established in 1986 by Hyderabad Karnataka Education (HKE) Society. Initially, the institute was under Gulbarga University but in 1996, its affiliation was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) Bangalore.
S. Nijalingappa Institute of Dental Science & Research institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate course in the stream of Dental Sciences - BDS - with an intake of 40 students and MDS with an intake of eight students per year. Both the courses offered by the institute are approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and are conducted as per the norms of RGUHS Bangalore.
