It is managed and run by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative, Government of India. For MCA, the candidates need to have Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks and they should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects up to 12th level. For MBA, the candidates should have passed graduation with not less than 55% marks (45% for SC/ST), from any recognized University.

For the admission, the candidates, for MBA, must be appear in the MAT/K-MAT & VTU (Vishweswaraya Technological University, Belgaum) for government quota and for MCA, K-MAT & AIMCET & VTU (Vishweswaraya Technological University, Belgaum) for government quota. However, CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, ATMA, CET, JEE candidates are also eligible to apply. Selected candidates then have to come for group discussion and personal interview.
