RCC Institute of Information Technology, one of the renowned technical institutes in Kolkata(West Bengal), was set up in 1999. The institute, affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology, was established by Regional Computer Center Calcutta, with support from National Informatics Center (NIC), Government of India and Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. Currently, the college is under RCC Institute of Technology, which is an autonomous Society of Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The courses offered by RCC Institute of Information Technology have approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It offers education in undergraduate technical programmes in various disciplines, along with postgraduate programme in computer applications.
