Prakasam Engineering College was established in 2001, with the efforts of Amma Education Society, which was formed in 1997. The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and has got the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Located in Kandukur in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh, the college offers technical education in various disciplines at undergraduate as well as at postgraduate levels, along with Master of Business Administration (MBA) course.
