Orissa Engineering College is one of the leading educational institutions in the state of Orissa. Also called OEC, the college is located on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orissa. The college currently conducts various courses in the field of engineering, all of which have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela.
Orissa Engineering College is a part of Nabajyoti Charitable Trust and holds the distinction of being the first private engineering college to be established in Orissa. Spread over an area of 58 acres of land, the college provides all the facilities within its campus, thereby helping its students to acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge. The college admits 75% of the seats from the JEE-Orissa, conducted by BPUT. The balance 25% seats are filled through JEE-Orissa and CET tests conducted by OPECA.
