National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research Kolkata (West Bengal) is a proposed institute for advanced research and education in the field of pharmacy. It is going to be constructed in Kolkata. NIPER Kolkata will be created under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizer, Government of India. Till the construction of national importance is on proposal, the institute will function from Indian Institute of Chemical Biology. NIPER Kolkata will provide the facilities of X-ray Diffraction, Atomic Force Microscope, Protein Micro Array, General Proteomic and Imaging facility, a state-of-the-art Animal House and Stem Cell facility, Bio-Safety (Level 3) facility, CHN Analyzer and many more instrumental facility for research.NIPER Kolkata will focus not only on research, but also on innovation in the field of pharmacy.

Candidates are eligible for the courses, provided they have done B.Pharm. /M.Sc. (Chem.), from a recognized University.
MS Pharm (Natural Products)
Candidates should have done B.Pharm /M.Sc. (Chemistry), from a recognized University.
MS Pharm (Pharmacoinformatics)
Candidates are eligible to apply, if they have done B.Pharm/ M.Sc (Chemistry /Life Sciences), from a recognized University.

Admission will be done through an entrance examination, organized by NIPER, SAS Nagar. The exam is called NIPER JEE.
