Located in the ex-R&D centre of IDPL, Balangar, Hyderabad, and spread over an area of 150 acres, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad (popularly known as NIPER Hyderabad) offers 2-year post graduate course M.S (Pharma) in three different branches of pharmaceutical science. Functioning under the mentorship of Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, the institute was formed under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizer, Government of India.
Established in 2007, NIPER Hyderabad has been conferred with the status of ‘institute of national importance’. The institute is supposedly to become a centre of excellence in the near future, thereby catering to the ever growing Indian pharmaceutical industry. It offers all modern facilities, though updation of infrastructure is still in process. At present, six new NIPER institutes have been started in different parts of India, under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizer, and NIPER Hyderabad is one of them.

Those who have graduated by doing B.Pharma/ M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) are eligible to apply.
General Eligibility
General category candidates should have achieved a minimum CGPA of 6.75(60%), whereas SC/ST candidates should have attained a minimum CGPA of 6.25%. Valid GATE/ NET scores are mandatory for the above mentioned courses.
