NIPER (National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research), located in Guwahati (Assam), came into being as the sixth institute of NIPER. It was established by the Government of Assam with the help of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. NIPER Guwahati imparts courses under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The educational institute conducts postgraduate level courses in the discipline of pharmacy - M.S. (Pharma) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharma). Both these courses are offered as per the strict guidelines of the Department. NIPER Guwahati has a number of modern facilities to make sure smooth conduct of its courses within its campus.
