National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) came into existence in 2007-08. It was established under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER Ahmedabad has been declared as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for advanced studies and research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is one among NIPERs, situated across few cities of India, the first being NIPER Mohali (Punjab). It is housed at B. V. Patel PERD Centre. To impart excellent education, the institute admits students to its postgraduate level programmes, as per the rules and regulations of the Department. NIPER Ahmedabad is fully-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities within its sprawling campus.

The candidates are selected, for the admission to the PG programmes, on the basis of their ranks in NIPER-JEE entrance test, which is followed by joint counseling, which is conducted at NIPER-SAS.
