Nimra College of Engineering and Technology is a technical institute of repute, imparting UG and PG level courses in various disciplines. The college, which was established in 1997, is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. The courses offered by the college have the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Apart from technical courses, Nimra College of Engineering and Technology also offers education in management field through MBA course. The students must have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in the qualifying exam.

Graduates in any disciplines can apply. In case of MCA, study of mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation is also necessary.

A state level common entrance test-EAMCET is held by a statutory body of the Andhra Pradesh government. Students are selected as per their performance in EAMCET.
