Narula Institute of Technology (NIT), located in Kolkata in West Bengal, was established in 2001. B Tech
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in science stream from a recognized board. The applicants must be a diploma holder in Engineering/Technology for the lateral entry into the II Year (Third Semester) of B Tech program.
BBA
The students must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, from a recognized Board.
BCA
The applicants are required to pass their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, with Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
The candidates must have a BE/B Tech degree in the relevant field, from a recognized University.
MCA
The applicant needs to have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subjects, from a recognized University.
MBA
The candidate, having a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, is eligible.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
BE/B Tech
Admission is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB JEE) for the 80% of the seats and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for the 10% of the seats while remaining 10% seats available are filled through the Management quota.
For Lateral Entry into the II Year -
Enrolment is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (JELET) conducted Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, for a maximum limit of 10% of the intake in each discipline.
BBA/BCA
The candidates are selected through their performance in CET, conducted by West Bengal University of Technology.
Entrance Test: WBJEE, WBJELET, AIEEE Exam
Post Graduate:
M Tech
The candidates having a first class degree and a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score are admitted directly as per the merit list or the aspirants are selected as per their performance in admission test conducted by the institute.
MCA
Admission to 90% of total seats is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance for Computer Application (JECA) while remaining 10% of the seats are reserved for AIMCET/CET (State conducted test/University tests)/Association conducted test).
MBA
Enrolment is done through West Bengal Joint Management Aptitude Test (WBJMAT)/MAT score, followed by the candidate’s performance in group discussion/personal interview.
