Nalanda Institute of Technology spread over 25 acres of land in Bhubaneswar (Orissa). The college came into existence in 2007. The institute is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela and has got the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college offers four-year of full-time undergraduate degree engineering courses in various disciplines. A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board in science stream with Mathematics & Physics as main subjects along with any one of the following subjects- Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/ Biotechnology is required. For lateral entry, pass in three years of diploma course in Engineering with not less than 60% aggregate marks from SCTE & VT, Orissa or equivalent is mandatory.

70% Admissions are done on the basis of scores obtained in Orissa Joint Entrance Test (JEE) and rest 30% seats are divided equally. 15% are reserved for NRI candidates while rests of the 15% seats are filled according to All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) scores.
