Eligible candidates should have passed 10+2 / HSC examination from any recognized board in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects in Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science. For lateral entry, the candidates must have passed three years diploma course in engineering course securing minimum 60% marks in total or three years B Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects obtaining 60% marks.

Admissions are completed through State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) under UP Technical University, Lucknow and All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). The candidates who appear in AIEEE or secure minimum 60% in PCM at 10+2 level are admitted under management quota which is 15% of the total seats.
