Maharashtra Academy of Engineering (MAE) is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It was established in 1996 and it is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The institute is affiliated to University of Pune, Pune. MAE Pune is a part of the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Education Research (MAEER) group and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. The institute is also recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.
Maharashtra Academy of Engineering imparts undergraduate level programmes in the field of engineering - Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Master of Engineering (ME). Apart from these courses, the institute also offers postgraduate level programmes in the field of management (MBA) and computer applications (MCA). Undergraduate:
For admission to BE programme, candidates should be passed in 12th class examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, from any recognized Board. The OBC candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 45% marks.
Post Graduate:
ME
The aspirants need to have passed BE/B Tech, recognized by any University.
MCA
The eligible candidates should be Graduate with Mathematics securing 50% (45% for reserve category) or any graduate passing Mathematics at 10+2 standard.
MBA
Candidate should have passed any bachelor's degree with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of backward category candidates).
Undergraduate:
The candidates are short listed on the basis of their ranks in MHT-CET / AIEEE entrance test.

Post Graduate:
ME
Admissions to this programme are done on the basis of their performances in the written test and interview, conducted by the Institute.
MBA
Candidates have to qualify CET conducted by the DTE, MS and (For OMS candidates CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, JMET are the qualifying examination). Selection is made on the basis of score in the entrance exam, group discussion and personal interview. Some seats are filled under management quota by the institute.
MCA
Admission is based on MHT-CET, group discussion and personal interview. The management committee is also fills some seats by itself.
