Located in Janakpuri (New Delhi), Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Pharmacy started its first academic session in 2001-2002. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, (GGSIPU) and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. With the intention of producing proficient pharmaceutical professionals, the college offers comprehensive education in four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) course. In order to accomplish its aim, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Pharmacy has equipped itself with highly qualified and skilled lecturers along with all the basic facilities.

The candidates with a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together, are eligible. In addition, they are required to pass each subject including English separately. For lateral entry, diploma holders in Pharmacy with at least 60% aggregate marks from an AICTE and PCI recognized Institution are eligible.
