One of the prominent institutes in East Delhi, Maharaja Agrasen College is a constituent part of University of Delhi (also referred to as Delhi University or DU). Located in Mayur Vihar (New Delhi), the institution came into being in 1994 with the aim to impart quality education in career-oriented courses, along with conventional humanities, science and commerce courses. Various undergraduate honors and pass courses are offered by the co-educational institute, which is fully funded by the Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
Currently, Maharaja Agrasen College is located in a temporary school building, but sooner it plans to shift its campus in a 10-acre area allocated in Vasundhara Enclave. Apart from degree courses, three-month certificate course in specialized fields of TV news reading, Reporting, Anchoring and Voice Over are also conducted by the college, along with English Language Proficiency Course. The college also has collaboration with DOEACC Society, to conduct 'O' and 'A' Level (Long-Term) and various certificate courses (Short-Term).

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours/Pass
Candidates are required to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) Honours
Candidates with minimum 60% aggregate marks at senior school certificate examination or an examination recognized equivalent thereof and mathematics as a subject of study at 10 +2 level are eligible.
Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) Honours
Candidates with pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in science stream from CBSE Board or any other examination considered equivalent thereto are eligible, provided they have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) (General)
For B.Sc. (Gen) Mathematical Science, Candidates with minimum 45% marks in the relevant subjects and 40% marks in language and Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 of CBSE or an examination recognized equivalent thereof are eligible. For B.Sc. Applied Physical Sc., candidate need to score at least 45% marks in best four Subjects.
