Mahabir College of Nursing is situated in Ambala City, Haryana. It was established in 2004 and managed by Educational Welfare Society, Ambala City. Mahabir College of Nursing is affiliated to Kurukshetra University and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). It is approved and recognized by the Government of Haryana. Mahabir College of Nursing offers diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course of 3½ years duration and B.Sc Nursing course of 4 years duration. It also provides 6 months internship, in which students develop their nursing skills and gain practical experiences of nursing, under the guidance of professional health personnel.

Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in science stream or Intermediate Vocational (Nursing or MPHW) or Inter, with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences and should have secured minimum aggregate of 45% marks. In case of SC, ST categories, 5% relaxation is allowed. Candidates should have completed 17 years age and should not have exceeded 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
Diploma:
Applicants, who have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum aggregate of 40 % from any recognized Board, are eligible to apply for the course. Candidate must be of 17 years to 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission.
