Madhabdev College, situated in Lakhimpur district of Assam, is a self-financing co-educational institute. The college was incepted in 1964 to facilitate value based higher education for the rural-tribal students of Narayanpur Revenue Circle of Lakhimpur district. The college was formed by the selfless efforts of some leading social workers and cultural geniuses of Narayanpur and named after the great Vaishnavite leader, Guru Sri Sri Madhabdev. Madhabdev College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognized by UGC, under various schemes. The college offers several undergraduate courses in Arts and Science disciplines. Besides, the college imparts higher secondary courses in these Arts and Science subjects. The college runs several career-oriented programs on Photography, Information Technology and Sericulture at degree level, which are sponsored by UGC.

Candidates who have passed the intermediate/10+2 level examination of AHSEC/CBSE, recognized by the State Govt. of Assam, in any discipline are eligible for the BA courses offered here. Those who have completed the same in Science subjects are eligible for the B.Sc courses offered here.
