Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) Chennai is one of the top business schools of India. The institute, affiliated to the University of Madras, was established in 1979 and is a sister institution of the famous Loyola College, Chennai. Initially, LIBA conducted only part time PGDBM program, to cater to the needs of working executives. In 1995, the institution started a two-year fulltime PGDBM program. Both the programs have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The part-time as well as full-time PGDBM courses offered by Loyola Institute of Business Administration Chennai are recognized as equivalent to an MBA degree, by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). LIBA also has collaborations with several Universities at the foreign level to enhance the knowledge of students with a global mindset. In the institute, a strong focus is put on consultancy and research in order to encourage its faculty and students to undertake consultancy projects with corporate around the world.

The candidates must have done their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with minimum 60% of marks (50% for the part-time course), from any recognized University.
Doctorate:
To be eligible for PhD/Doctorate/research, the candidate must be post graduates in Management or related disciplines.

For the full time PGD course, the admission process is based on the candidate’s XAT score, Group Discussion (GD) and personal interview. However, the selection of the candidate in the part-time course depends on the marks obtained at written test, Group Discussion and personal interview.
