K L E S’s Arts & Commerce College for Women situated at Gadag, is the only Women’s college in this district of Karnataka. Established by the Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society in 1985, the college was given approval for grant-in-aid by the State Government in 1995. This UGC recognized college was also accredited with B level certificate by NAAC for providing higher education to the women of entire Gadag district and its outskirts. K L E S’s Arts & Commerce College for Women, which is affiliated to Karnataka State Women’s University, is well equipped with necessary educational infrastructures within 32.5 acres of campus area along with other three colleges. The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts faculty with the subjects Sociology, Economics, History, Political Science, Kannada, Hindi, Home Science in both Kannada and English medium.
