Akkineni Nageswara Rao College of Education, popularly known as ANR College of Education, was established in the academic year 1999-2000. The college, affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, is a sister institution of Akkineni Nageswara Rao College, Gudivada. The education college is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. A.N.R. College of Education is sponsored by Akkineni Nageswara Rao College Committee. Earlier, the education college was known only as Akkineni Nageswara Rao College of Education, but since the year 2006, it has come to be known as K.G. Prasada Rao - A.N.R.College of Education.
