JNTU College of Engineering is a prestigious college of technical education. The college was started in the year 1946, under the post war reconstruction program. It is located in a wide-spread area of 200 acres of land in a tranquil atmosphere at Anantapur. In 1972, when Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University came into existence, the college becomes its constituent part. It offers several courses in the field of science & technology at multiple levels. Part time Ph.D. programs in various disciplines are also offered. JNTU College of Engineering was envisioned to fulfill the technological need of our fast developing India and it is doing justice to the vision.
