Institute of Information Technology is a premier institute for higher education in technical courses in India. Located in Pune, the institute was established as Women's College of Engineering in 1999, by All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society. IOIT is a self-financing college, affiliated to University of Pune. Previously a women's college, it is now a co-educational institution.
Currently, Institute of Information Technology Pune offers undergraduate level courses in the field of engineering. All the courses offered by Institute of Information Technology are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi and Director of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.
