Institute of Management & Information Technology is managed and run by the Government of Orissa. Located in Cuttack (Orissa), the institute was formerly known as College of Accountancy and Management Studies (CAMS), Cuttack. The institute started functioning in 1962. It is affiliated to Biju Patnik University Technology (BPUT), Rourkela. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Institute of Management and Information Technology imparts post graduate course in the field of management (MBA) and computer applications (MCA). The MBA course conducted by the institute is a two-year program.

For MBA, the candidates should be graduates in any stream, from any recognized University. For MCA programme, graduation with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th standard is compulsory.
