Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is one of the top management institutes in India. IIM Calcutta was established in November 1961, in collaboration with Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, Ford Foundation and Indian industry. Eligibility:
Post Graduate Diploma:
The candidate must have bachelor’s degree or two years of work experience, to be eligible for this program.
Post Graduate:
The candidate should be a Graduate in any relevant subject and should have minimum five years or maximum 10 years of work experience.
Doctorate:
To be eligible for the course, the candidate should have done his/her Master’s Degree from a recognized University, with minimum 55% of marks and Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of marks in any subject. In addition to this, the candidate should have completed Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% of marks.
Admission Procedure:
Post Graduate:
The admission for MBA or other post graduate courses is based on the academic background, relevant work experience, performance in the Aptitude Test and Personal Interview, which is conducted jointly by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras.
Post Graduate Diploma:
The selection is based on the Common Admission Test (CAT), relevant academic records, work experience and personal interview.
