Institute of Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition, Lucknow, was established in 1969, as Food Craft Institute jointly by Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In 1980, it was promoted as State Institute of Hotel Management by the Government of U.P and later in 1984 the institute came under the control and management of Government of India as an autonomous society. Currently, it is managed by the Board of Governors. IHM Lucknow, affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT), New Delhi, offers three years of undergraduate degree course in Hospitality & Hotel Administration. The institution intends to produce expert professionals, who can pursue their career in the field of hospitality.
