Himalayan Institute of Nursing is situated in Ambala, Haryana. It was established in 2006 and is managed by Maa Saraswati Educational Trust. Himalayan Institute of Nursing is affiliated to Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. The college offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course of 3½ years duration and B Sc (Nursing) course, which is conducted at the undergraduate level. It provides 6 months of internship with the course, in which students explore and develop their nursing skills. It has well furnished labs and library where students can upgrade their knowledge and gain practical experience under the careful supervision of highly skilled faculty.

Candidates should have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in science stream or Intermediate Vocational (Nursing or MPHW) or Inter with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences and should have secured minimum aggregate of 45%. In case of SC, ST categories 5% relaxation is allowed. Candidates should have completed 17 years age should not have completed 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission, for SC/ST candidates upper age limit relaxed by 3 years.
Diploma:
Applicants, who have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum aggregate of 40 % from any recognized Board, are eligible to apply for the course. Candidate must be of 17 years to 35 years age as on December 31st of the year of admission.
