Himachal Institute of Education, equipped with all the mandatory facilities and infrastructure, started its first academic session in 1999. The educational institution is located in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. It is an autonomous College, which is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur and is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. Himachal Institute of Education has also got the approval of Government of Himachal Pradesh to conduct one year of Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course. Since its inception, the college is dedicated to single objective of producing competent teachers.
