Hans Raj College Delhi was established in the year 1948. The college is in the North Campus of the University of Delhi. Located on Mahatma Hans Raj College Road, New Delhi, the college is affiliated to the renowned University of Delhi. Hans Raj College is a co-educational institution that imparts quality education in all the three main streams of education - Arts, Science and Commerce, at the undergraduate and post graduate level. The college offers courses in a number of disciplines. It is planning to conduct sports courses for girls and many other new courses, in the near future. Hans Raj College has got a supreme position in the country, in terms of the quality of education that it imparts in the field of arts. The D.A.V. College managing committee, which is one of the largest non- governmental organizations of India, founded Hans Raj College on 26th July, 1948. The name of the college owes to ‘Lala Hansraj’, in whose memory Hans Raj College Delhi was established.
