Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary from Bengal Higher Secondary Board or equivalent examination, from any other recognized Board/University. For admission into the II Year (Third Semester) of B Tech program, minimum qualification required is a diploma in engineering/technology in the relevant field, from a recognized university.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
The candidates must have a first class BE/B Tech or MSc degree in the relevant field, from a recognized university.
MCA
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, from a recognized university.
MBA
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree any discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admissions are done through West Bengal JEE (Joint Entrance Test) and 15% of the seats are reserved for the candidates with All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) scores. Some seats are also reserved for the SC/ST candidates at the directives of the State Government.
Admission into the II Year (Third Semester) of B Tech is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET).

Post Graduate:
M Tech
Admission to the postgraduate program is done on the merit basis of the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam. Candidates with GATE score are given preference.
MCA
Admission is done through the Joint Entrance Computer Application (JECA) examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of JEE (WB JEE) and recommended by Central Selection Committee. Some seats are reserved for SC & ST candidates as per State Government rules.
MBA
Admissions are done based on the MAT (Management Aptitude Test) score or through Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) conducted by WBUT. Candidates having good marks in qualifying examination are admitted directly.
