Govind Ballabh (GB) Pant Social Science Institute came into existence in 1980 as one of the constituent parts of Social Science Research Institutes, which were established by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) in collaboration with State Governments. The institute is a constituent unit as well as affiliated to University of Allahabad, Allahabad. Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
GB Pant Social Science Institute Allahabad conducts postgraduate level programme in the field of management, that is, Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is a two-year full time programme. Apart from this PG programme, the institute also offers doctorate level programme in the field of social science - Doctorate of Philosophy (D Phil) with ICSSR fellowships. GB Pant Social Science Institute Allahabad is fully equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure within its 10 acres of campus.
