Government Law College is situated in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the five government law colleges (others are Chennai, Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore and Tirunelveli), which are managed and administered by Tamil Nadu's Department of Legal Studies, Government of Tamil Nadu. The college of law is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. Government Law College Madurai is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), Government of India, New Delhi.
Government Law College Madurai works with an objective of training young students to become successful law professionals, by providing them high quality legal education.
