Gates Institute of Technology came into existence in 2001, under the sponsorship of Gajjala Raghunatha Reddy Educational Trust. The self-financing institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur to conduct full-time undergraduate engineering programmes and post graduate computer application and business administration programmes. The college has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Gates Institute of Technology was established with the vision of imparting high standards of education to the aspirants in order to produce efficient professionals.
