Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, is an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. FTII was established in 1960 at the erstwhile Prabhat studio premises in Pune. It is an affiliated organization of world renowned CILECT or International Liaison Centre of Schools of Cinema and Television. Film and Television Institute of India has produced distinguished alumni such as Subhash Ghai, Jaya Bahaduri, Raza Murad, Shatrughan Sinha, Mithun Chakraborty, Tom Alter, Kanwarjit Paintal, Adoor Gopal Krishnan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raj Kumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Resul Pookutty.

Diploma:
For the one-and-half-year certificate course, a candidate is required to have completed his/her 10+2 level. A Bachelor's Degree is required for the one-year certificate course. For admission in all the Television Certificate Courses, a candidate should be a graduate.
Post Graduate Diploma:
For the admission in Post Graduate Diploma courses a candidate is required to have completed his/her graduation.
